The Reverend Mother

Mother Pirrial moved into Kinglake in 2017 and was appointed Honorary Associate Priest to the Parish.  She was ordained Priest in 2001 in Newcastle Diocese, where she served in Muswellbrook and Dungog until retirement in 2011.  She then lived a life of prayer at Stroud until relocating to Kinglake, where she continues in the Christian solitary contemplative tradition.  She holds Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology Q degrees from the University of Divinity Melbourne. 

 

Mother Pirrial has practiced Spiritual Direction for over 20 years and belongs to the Australian Network of Spiritual Directors.  She enjoys leading Retreats and Quiet Days and is passionately interested in the Christian Spiritual journey.  She is a professed member of the Third Order of the Society of St Francis.

Mother Pirrial has five children and four grandchildren. Prior to commencing theological studies, she worked as a midwife.

Morning Prayer 7am

Mid-day Prayer 12 noon 

Evening Prayer, 5pm.

 

Spiritual Direction and/or the Sacrament of Reconciliation on request.

Mother Pirrial believes that living the truths of the Gospel – the importance of justice, equality for all, compassion and love, which are encapsulated in the Golden Rule ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ - are the way into a secure and peaceful future for our children and our children’s children; and that Jesus’ life, teaching and continued guidance can help us all to achieve this goal.
